Many of the houses Loveland’s historic districts have distinctive decorative gingerbread and decorated shingle work. Creative craftsmen added a variety of shingle patterns in the gables of the historic houses, then painted them to accent their expressive style.
Decorative “ginderbread” can also be found on numerous houses, it takes a little more searching and driving. Considering their age, most of the houses are well kept.
The sign in the gallery below explains the historic nature of the homes— generally located on the east and west sides of downtown Loveland.
