Smaller Hunters & Prey
I think of “critters” as mammals the size of a coyote and smaller. Smaller animals can be challenging to photograph! Luckily, there are plenty of subjects for me in Colorado. This page showcases just a few of the critters I see here.
Bobcats and prairie dogs have been new additions to my wildlife catalog. I am hoping to see mountain lions at some point. I know foxes live in the area, but the only ones I have seen have been motionless alongside the roads. Cotton-tailed rabbits are very common here, but not seen that often in Jackson. Unlike the red squirrels I used to photograph in Jackson, I find large numbers of Eastern Fox Squirrels here.
