Dia de Muertos!
This year’s festival was held on October 11, 2025 in downtown Longmont. Darla and I drove there to take in the sights, sounds and color. There were plenty of of all three!

I chose to concentrate on portraits, with a few wide shots and a few accent elements to help fill in the feel of the event. Every person I asked willingly let me take their photo.

Shooting Info
These photos were taken handheld with a Sony A1 and a Tamron 35-150mm lens.
I set the aperture to F/2.8 to help blur the busy backgrounds. The shutter speed was set to 1/800th second, and the ISO was set to Auto ISO. The resulting ISO settings ranged from around ISO 125 to ISO 640..
