Kaleidoscope of Brilliant Colors!
Colorado’s front range is ablaze with saturated colors! Aspens, alders, oak, ash, cottonwoods, and maples have been changing over the past few weeks. Changing colors range from bright yellow, to lime green, to deep red, and maroon. Some trees even display variegated combinations of all of the hues!
While the wind has stripped the leaves from some trees, other zones and other species of trees are still summer green. Fortunately, “the fall show” spreads over an extended period here.
The photos on this page aren’t limited to fall leaves. Watch for the beautiful photos of an area Wood Duck against fall reflections. Fall is also a time of harvest. I revisited the Rocky Mountain Pumpkin Ranch in Longmont, located only a few miles south of Loveland. Brightly colored pumpkins, squash, and gourds are artistically arranged on bales of hay, trucks, and vintage farm equipment.
I hope you enjoy this new page! MJ
