Local Color

Fall at my doorsteps!

Deciduous trees and shrubs put on a spectacular show along the Front Range at this time of the year. Throw in a few flowers and insects and I have a large palette of vivid color within only a few miles of my home here in Loveland, CO.

Currently, most of the large red alder trees are changing from bright yellow to deep orange and even maroon. It’s impressive! I know the leafless period is coming, so I take a camera with me each day to capture the color now⏤while I can!

I became a member of the Gardens at Spring Creek last year, so I can go there at any time of the year and expect to find colorful subjects. Even on a very cold winter day, I can go inside the warm Butterfly House for a change of seasons.
