Night Sky Explodes with Color

Each year, the Horseshoe Lake 4th of July fireworks display lights the area with short-lived blasts of sparkles, streaks, smoke, and colors. The residents along the private lake finance the show, but the show can also be seen by Loveland viewers along the nearby roads. The Horseshoe Lake fireworks event is just one of the many displays along Colorado’s Front Range. The City of Loveland opted to cancel this year’s event due to budget restrictions, forcing residents to spread to other venues like the Horseshoe Lake fireworks.

Fireworks were shot to the heavens from a barge bouyed in the middle of the lake. Shortly after the last cartridge was fired, the barge itself was blown up in a fiery orange ball of fire.
